ACADEMIA
Luis Palmero started his teaching activity in November 1995/96. Since then, his academic career has been and still is related to the following subjects:
- Construction I. School of Building Engineering, ETSIE.
- Construction and Environment. Free Choice, ETSIE.
- Planning the Construction Process: Master's Degree in Building Engineering, ETSIE.
- Introduction to Construction, School of Architecture, ETSA.
- Technological Innovation in Architecture. Master's Degree in Advanced Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning and Design. ETSA.
- Construction I European University of Madrid.
He has had significant activity in Participation in Teaching Innovation Projects, such as:
- PIME, Didactic Strategies for learning Construction I through its application in economics. Several years.
- EICE: Transversal Activities in 1 course of Building Engineering. Several years.
- PIE: Knowledge, utility and methodology of Mathematics in the teaching of Technical Architecture.
- CONDAP: European projects and courses to improve digital skills in the construction sector. It aims to address the mismatch between the vocational training provided, the expectations of students and employers in the construction industry.
In his academic career, he has supervised more than 300 Final Degree Projects, including Master's Degree Projects.
He has supervised three doctoral theses and is currently the academic tutor of another five doctoral theses, all of which are currently being prepared and are international in scope.
He has taken more than eight courses on the methodology applied to university teaching, courses organised by the Institute of Education Sciences, ICE.
AWARDS
As a tutor, he has received the Bancaja_UPV prize for the best Final Degree Projects in 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2010. Also, the third prize of the Colegio Oficial de Aparejadores, Arquitectos Técnicos e Ingenieros de Edificación for an Academic Exchange Final Project, 2009. Award Architetto Giovanni Neri-Serneri-XII Edizione, 2016, for Stefania De Gregorio's thesis research. For several years he has been congratulated by the Rector of the Universitat Politècnica de València for achieving teaching excellence.

- He has developed, coordinated and activated the double degree: Laurea in Ingegneria Edilizia e delle Costruzioni between the Politecnico di Milano-POLIMI and the ETSIE_UPV. Active since 2016. This degree is currently taught at the Leonardo campus of the Italian institution.
